At first I didnt realise this was a meat-free meal.
I thought the "meat" looked odd - like round scallops.
As it turned out - it was plant protein, and possibly the best I've had. It had a good balance between tender and firm, asborbed the sauce flavour and overall worked well with the rest of the meal.
The sauce was a deep colour, and the flavour matched - with a rich and bold tomato taste.
This was a surprisingly decent meal considering it can be stored without refrigeration for months/years - and be ready to eat with only 90 seconds in the microwave.
